Thank you for visiting my legislative website and taking the time to stay connected with me. It is an honor to represent the 35th District in the state House. I encourage you to take a moment to learn more about me and how I am serving you in the Legislature
We face many complex challenges in our district and state, and I am committed to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to find thoughtful solutions. As every legislator knows, however, the best ideas come from the people in our communities, not from government.
The most important part of my job is listening to you. Traveling across our district, it is clear you want a state government that is accessible, responsible and accountable. I know we can get there, and will continue working toward this goal. I welcome you to contact me anytime to share your comments, questions and concerns. My contact information is below.
It is an honor to serve you.

Republicans in the Legislature have always said the executive branch needs to have the ability to respond quickly to pandemics, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and other emergencies. At the same time, we have argued no person in state government should have indefinite unilateral authority to change lives and livelihoods on a whim. That is why for the past two sessions, we have pushed so hard to implement emergency powers reform. We have also proposed a variety of compelling solutions to fix the growing number of failures being overseen by the governor and his appointees. It is on us to restore your confidence in state government.See what my colleagues and I are doing to hold government accountable
As the assistant ranking Republican on the House Appropriations Committee, I have been a vocal proponent of passing sustainable budgets that ensure our state is able to weather a severe economic downturn in the future. Unfortunately, Democratic budget writers have been intent on passing tax increases, growing the size and scope of government, and ballooning spending 111% over the past 10 years. For our part, House Republicans have proposed fiscally responsible budget frameworks that would fund all of our shared priorities while also providing tax relief for you and your family.Learn how my colleagues and I are working to make Washington affordable
At a time when crime is rising and our state ranks last in the nation in terms of the number of police officers per thousand people, we have to get serious about improving public safety. We simply cannot have laws on the books that create confusion, make volatile situations more dangerous, and enable criminals to escape justice. In 2023, we must pass legislation that allocates significant state funding for the recruitment of new police officers and the retention of officers already on the job.Discover what House Republicans are doing to protect our communities
Parents matter, and House Republicans are focused on empowering them to become more involved in their children’s success both in school and in life. We believe more transparency in education, not less, is important for students and parents alike. We also want to create an economic environment that allows school choice to become a reality for more families.Learn what House Republicans are doing to help families succeed
