MacEwen: “And it could probably only take the Navy to pluck a young, cocky kid out of the Midwest and teach him to run a nuclear reactor, and drive a submarine. But I look back on that with the greatest pride and it’s part of the reason that I stand here today is the lessons learned through that, and the people that had that influence on me.  People like my engineer who demanded nothing less than excellence, which was often times more than your very best, and you had to rise to that next level. And those are the lessons that the Navy has put forward.”

Sattgast: Union Republican Drew MacEwen. Lawmakers unanimously approved House Resolution 4608, which recognizes the contributions of Navy personnel and their family members.
